Howard M. Ballon has been named Director of Marketing for RCA "SelectaVision" VideoDiscs, it was announced today by Thomas G. Kuhn, Division Vice President, RCA "SelectaVision" VideoDiscs.
Mr. Ballon's expanded responsibilities will include: market planning, national sales and merchandising, advertising, and creative services for RCA's video discs. He was previously Acting Director of Marketing for RCA "SelectaVision" VideoDiscs.
Mr. Ballon has an extensive background in book and film marketing and distribution, having served previously with Random House and Warner Communications.
A native of New York City, he received a B.A. from Vassar and an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
