|
|
I believe when I was first researching CED players on this site there was a way to find out their manufacturing date by serial number. I remember thinking I should give my machines 40th birthday parties in a few years!
Well, now it has been a few years I've spent an hour trying to find it and searching with various key words and no luck. Am I crazy or is it just hiding somewhere.
I feel dumb for basically asking for a link on the site I am already on, lol. _________________ Working: SGT-100 x2, SGT-200, SGT-250, SJT-90 x2, SJT 100, SFT-100,

you are not crazy. however, that information was on cedatum.com. unfortunately with johns passing the domain was lost. someone bought it but i believe the website is still inactive.
to decode your RCA serial number is like this:

3 year
3 week
8 week
5 day 1=sunday
1 assembly line ( 1,2,or 3)
6 id number
2 id number
3 id number
4 id number
1983 week 38 thursday line 1 id#6234
hope that helps _________________ (2)Sears 274 & 934(80150,10&11350), sft100, sgt250, sjt 090-400, vp550, VDR3000, VP2000 & 4000

Thank you! That should be posted in a FAQ page or somewhere easy to find on here. I'm sure a lot of people will want it in the next year or two. _________________ Working: SGT-100 x2, SGT-200, SGT-250, SJT-90 x2, SJT 100, SFT-100,
